Chalabi-nameh

The late Nilab Rahimi — scholar and bibliographer — spent years on the question this book answers: what Husam al-Din Chalabi was to Rumi. Chalabi was the attentive presence beside the master of Balkh without whose particular care, Rahimi argues, a book the size of the Masnavi would never have come into being and the sky of Persian mystical literature would be missing its single star. Most of the Rumi scholarship written so far goes to his bond with Shams; very few researchers have taken up Chalabi's own life and the scale of his influence. Text in Dari/Persian.
