Flight over the Horizon of Philosophy and Wisdom

A stage play by Fazl-Ahad Ahadi setting Ibn Sina (Avicenna) and Abu Rayhan Biruni in conversation — an invented dialogue built from the questions and answers the two actually recorded in their own treatises. It ranges from how objects appear in water to a critique of Aristotle, from the secrets of the stars to nature's place in human life. Ahadi takes dramatic licence with the detail while holding to the truth-seeking temper of the exchanges, and chose the play form as the one best able to carry their curiosity alive. Text in Dari/Persian.
