Rise of the Survivors

Younus Salehi's novel opens with Nawroz reaching the waterfall early in the morning, five years after the last time he stood there. He is on the edge of eighteen now, and the weight he carries is no longer only his own: the responsibility for his village has come to rest on him too. Text in Dari/Persian.
