G. K. Dulling's ordering of the considerable notes on Hazaragi he accumulated during his years in Afghanistan between 1952 and 1958. A good deal of the material he credits to the Danish Henning–Humlum–Christensen expedition of 1954, and in particular to Klaus Ferdinand, whose collected vocabulary was fitted into his own by Professor Karl Jahn; the Behsud material he gathered himself, from Hazara and Najrabi colleagues at his place of work. All of it was recorded in Persian, bar one informant in Najrabi and one recorded in both Persian and Pashto. Dulling calls the result a preliminary study, pending the detailed work still owed to the pre-Mongol Iranian elements the dialect carries in quantity. Text in Dari/Persian.
