The History of the Kushan Kingdom: In the Light of Ancient Chinese Records

Professor Ludmila Borovkova's study of the Kushan kingdom, argued against the view that Chinese sources have nothing further to give on the subject. She works through the official Chinese dynastic histories — direct evidence and indirect alike — and reads them alongside the archaeological, epigraphic and numismatic record to fix or sharpen the main events in the succession from the Yuezhi to the Great Yuezhi and the Kushans, and to place where those events happened. Absolute chronology, she concedes, remains unsettled. Text in Dari/Persian.
