The Consequences of the Taliban's Return

Sayed Karim Adib re-reads the Taliban's emergence in four phases up to the present, concentrating on their return to power the day after the Afghan republic collapsed on 15 August 2021. From there he takes up what continued Taliban rule has cost, and the regional danger posed by the renewed presence and growth of foreign terrorist groups under the Islamic Emirate's protection.
