The Trial

Mohammad Asef Soltanzadeh's novel opens on a morning Isa Khan cannot place — which day it was, or which month of which year. He should be allowed the lapse: by this point the months, and sometimes the years themselves, had run together in his head. Text in Dari/Persian.
