Boz-e Chini in the Time of Wolves

Mohammad Asef Soltanzadeh retells the old goat story, opening in the traditional formula — there was and there was not. Mamadyar has four sons, fit for eating and sleeping and ailing at the first sight of work. There is a small town too, where animals of every kind live in peace and good feeling; a grievance comes up among them now and then, but the elder animals step in and it is settled quickly and everyone goes back to the same sweet life. That arrangement, of course, is exactly what Mamadyar's boys would wish for, being too idle to stir and forever in favour of peace and friendship. Text in Dari/Persian.
