A Nest in the Chimney

Ghazals by Sakhi Zafari, each turning on the same helpless question. The wheat has yellowed at the edge of my sickle — what am I to do. If I have stopped fearing even the shadow of my own death, what am I to do. Come back, small happinesses of mine that have gone travelling: it has been a long while now that I am ruined from the foundations up. Text in Dari/Persian.
