Panjshir During the Jihad

Hafiz Mansoor's account of the Panjshir in the war against the Soviet occupation. He sets the departure of Soviet forces, after ten years of bloody fighting, among the historic events of the age — a cruel Russian empire pushed to the edge of destruction by the sacrifices of his nation — and says he gathered and published his thoughts and notes so that the struggle might serve as a window of hope for occupied peoples elsewhere.
