An Inquiry into the Ethnography of Afghanistan

Henry Walter Bellew's inquiry into the peoples of Afghanistan, prepared after Professor G. W. Leitner invited him to the Ninth Congress of Orientalists, held in London in September 1891, and asked him to contribute a monograph to its proceedings. Bellew accepted the membership readily and the paper less so, until he recalled the trunk of notes he had accumulated — material gathered from among the people themselves — which he had long meant to publish as a book. Text in Pashto.
